Excellence all around

I've been wholeheartedly impressed by the people at OnTheFly, I had a few issues along the way with my install and they were super urgent in helping me out and getting things working again. Now that everything is running it's hard to believe how quiet this all works, even with the engine off it's hard to tell it's operating other than how fast it actually operates.

For anyone installing themself make sure you don't miss that there is a small washer at 1 end of the bar spanning the bottom, and that you need to keep things clamped tight while setting up your holes in the transom. This is well documented in the instructions. Make sure you read them word for word though and you'll be off to the shallows and enjoying better holeshot in no time ;)

Excellent! Had to purchase shorter through bolts

Excellent! Had to purchase shorter through bolts because of the width of my transom. I mounted it with all four motor mount bolts.

Works perfectly!

I have a ‘98 2 stroke 30hp manual trim/tilt. The motor mount is about 10 inches. Will the Large be overkill? Just thinking in case I want to upgrade to a motor in the future with electric trim/tilt.

Tiny Boat Nation

Hello Bryce,

If you want to get a larger motor in the future, go with the Large size. Its not much larger than the Standard size, and only weighs 7lbs more than the standard. Only difference between the two is the width and weight it can handle. Thank you

Will this work for a 40horse yamibusi chinese motor ? 2stroke

Tiny Boat Nation

Hello Audii,

Yes, it should work fine with your 40hp. To choose whether you need the larger unit or the small plate you will want to measure the total width of your motor mounting bracket on the back side outside the bolt hole pattern from edge to edge at the widest point. If it measures less than 10 3/4 inches, you can use our smaller plate. If it measures wider than 10 3/4 inches you will need our larger plate.

Thank you

This is a ( up and down electric jack plate) no tilt/trim for clamp on small outboards

Tiny Boat Nation

Hello Ricky,

Thanks for reaching out! Yes, that's correct!

Will I have to drill new holes in the transom where the motor was mounted

Tiny Boat Nation

Hello Rusty,

Good question! In most cases, you may need to drill new mounting holes depending on your current bolt pattern and setup. The OnTheFly Electric Mini Jack Plate comes pre drilled with holes spaced 8” across and 8¼” vertically on the transom side. Some customers can reuse their existing holes if they match the standard pattern, but drilling new holes is pretty common for the best fit and alignment. Be sure to properly seal any unused or newly drilled holes to help protect your transom long term.

Thank you!!!!

For a new 4 stroke Tohatsu 20 hp with electric tilt I’m interested in the electric jack plate. Do I need the large jack plate? Thank you.

Tiny Boat Nation

Hello Jeff,

Yes! You will need a large jack plate for a new 4-stroke Tohatsu 20 HP with electric tilt. Thank you.
