Aluminum Transom Replacement Kit

The wood transom on my 15' Jon boat rotted out and I was looking around for a long term repair. All the local aluminum weldors are too busy to work on a little transom repair so I started searching for a solution. I watched several videos on wood and aluminum replacements. TBN's video on the aluminum replacement was the most informative not only for the install but also the little tricks to make it as simple as possible. Going aluminum also meant this was going to last the boat's lifetime. TBN's instructions for ordering the transom was clear and easy to do (you just need a tape measure.) Once ordered, it was delivered within a few days. The installation was easy. As I mentioned above, TBN's video was VERY informative. I attached some before, during and after pics. Thanks TBN!!!

In 2012, I replaced my transom in a 67 StarCraft. Has since rotted due to one failed bolt. I purchased the standard 12"x 72" transom from Tiny Boat Nation. Two cuts with my circular saw with an Aluminum blade and it slipped right in. The tubing inside matches my bolt pattern perfectly. There isn't one weak spot on this transom.

I bought a replacement transom for my Jon Boat. I was well built and easy to install. It stiffened the back of my boat like you couldn’t believe. I will never repair a transom with a piece of wood!!

I received my transom a few weeks ago. I had a welder install and weld it in for me, even though it could have been installed with rivets. It’s sturdy, visually pleasing, and gives me peace of mind knowing I’ll never have to worry about the transom again on this boat build.

I ordered this to replace the old wooden transom on my deep V. I figured if I was redoing the whole thing, why not redo it right.

I needed a custom width (1.5") and some non standard sizing. I was able to coordinate with TBN and get them a template.

Final product just arrived... It's perfect. It's bang on width and all other dimensions. It slid right into my factory bracket. I don't know too much about fabrication outside simple riveting, but the craftsmanship and finish look top notch.

I was nervous to spend the time and money to get this done, but am so glad. Transom is as strong and bomb proof as they come. Thanks
