Introducing the AUTOBOAT SMART HEAD,combining the best core features of the legacy AUTOBOAT units. This unit is not only more accurate, but much easier to install and less problematic over time. No more having to worry about room to store the legacy components because all components are now inside a sealed head. This head has a universal fit-collar that will mount onto any trolling motor from our approved list below. Please view the video above to get feel for this unit's new features.

THIS WILL NOT WORK ON BOW MOUNT TROLLING MOTORS (TROLLING MOTORS WITH A FOOT PEDAL - except for MinnKota Edge hand control or cutting control cables) Or anything else - NOT ON THE APPROVED LIST!If you use this product on anything other than our approved trolling motors, we will not cover the warranty.

Awesome upgrade to my Endura Max 55# motor
I use this primarily on my Pelican Catch PWR 100 kayak as a stern-mounted motor. It’s nice not to have to reach back and manipulate the tiller often, which leads to arm fatigue. Although it’s less efficient being on the stern for spot lock, it still works fine for my use case. I don’t always have to use my physical anchor unless I am needing to conserve battery on the river/creek. On the lake, it works great.
I found that I did have to add a washer to stabilize the motor mount on the shaft.
Also, I’ve already suggested this to support, but I’m hoping that they can develop an option to turn off the beeping because if it’s calm, and I’m in a quiet spot, the beeping can be loud and annoying.
Other than those two things, I’m very happy with this purchase and would definitely recommend it/have recommended it to anyone wanting to upgrade their trolling motor.

Amazing GPS motor system for the money! ![User picture]()
Love the anchor mode and anchor jog feature. I forget I’m using it because it is so easy and intuitive to use. Nice that I don’t need to have a heading sensor like other brands. Being able to set routes to follow for fishing long coastlines or mangrove trails hands free is amazing as well. The Smart Head attached to a basic motor creates a much lighter weight and easy to mount setup than other brand bulky gps bow mounts. I had these motors already in my garage collecting dust and now with AutoBoat they perform just as well as other gps motors I’ve used and owned. AutoBoat is just a more versatile motor system that I can adapt to my needs over time. It has all the features of $2000+ motors for less than half the price. Friend is even considering one for his jetski that he fishes from. I use AutoBoat on skiff, Jon boat, and even on kayaks.

Loving this thing so far
I really like the anchor function, so far I don’t have a lot of hours on it yet but being able to operate the trolling motor from the rear of the boat is so fun.

Worth The Wait
The conversion was very straight forward and easy to do. Installed the motor on my pedal kayak and took it out on Lake Tarpon for a couple hours. It did everything as advertised and sure beats the heck out of pedaling all the time. I downloaded the phone app, but I used the remote as it was easier to work with than the phone when fishing. Would hate to drop the phone overboard and the remote with the lanyard is much safer and easier to use. A great product and well worth the money.
