Epoch Batteries
36V trolling motor battery
A 36V 100Ah marine lithium battery with 3.84kWh of LiFePO4 power for serious trolling motor runtime.
The Epoch 36V 100Ah Marine Lithium Battery is a high-capacity 36V trolling motor battery, 36V lithium battery for boat upgrades, and deep cycle marine battery 36V solution for anglers who want long runtime without managing three separate 12V lead-acid batteries. Built with 3.84kWh (3,840Wh) of nominal stored energy at 38.4V, an IP67 waterproof enclosure, internal heating for cold-weather charging, Bluetooth monitoring, an included 10-segment battery meter, and an advanced BMS, it powers compatible 36V trolling motors and other 36V deep-cycle systems.
One 38.4V LiFePO4 battery can replace a three-battery 12V lead-acid trolling motor bank, with far less weight.
Swapping a daisy-chain of three 12V lead-acid batteries for one 36V 100Ah marine lithium battery simplifies your boat’s electrical layout, opens up valuable compartment space, and removes substantial weight from the hull. That means less clutter, fewer interconnect cables, and a cleaner installation for modern fishing boats.
This battery measures 20 in L × 10.25 in W × 11 in H (508 × 260.4 × 279.4 mm) and weighs about 75 lb (34.0 kg). It is not a drop-in replacement for every lead-acid or AGM installation: before installation, confirm your tray space, hold-down system, cable size and routing, terminal clearance, overcurrent protection, charger profile, and trolling motor manufacturer requirements.
3.84kWh lithium storage for Minn Kota, Garmin, Lowrance, and other compatible 36V trolling motor systems.
With 100Ah of capacity, 3.84kWh of nominal stored energy, and 120A continuous discharge (200A for up to 60 seconds), this 36V deep cycle lithium battery is built for anglers who spend long days on the water. LiFePO4 voltage stays nearly flat across most of the discharge, so your trolling motor sees steady voltage through most of the battery’s usable capacity. For planning, Epoch uses 80% of nominal energy, about 3,072Wh (80Ah): roughly 8 hours at a 10A load or 6.1 hours at 500W.
Use it with compatible 36V trolling motors from brands such as Minn Kota, Garmin, and Lowrance when voltage, current draw, fuse protection, charger profile, and manufacturer battery requirements match. For extended runtime, matched batteries may be wired in parallel up to Epoch’s stated limit of four batteries.
A heated marine lithium battery for cold-weather charging support.
In cold weather, the internal heater warms the cells before charging begins, and the BMS’s low-temperature charge protection allows charging only within the cells’ 0°C to 55°C (32°F to 131°F) range, so the battery is rated to charge from -20°C to 55°C (-4°F to 131°F) with heating. While the cells warm, the app may show little or no charge current; leave the charger connected and switched on.
Dust-tight and rated for temporary immersion.
The IP67 waterproof enclosure is dust-tight and protected against temporary immersion up to 1 meter for 30 minutes, which suits trolling motor compartments, fishing boats, and other wet marine locations. It is not rated for water jets, pressure washing, or long-term submersion: mount it securely and not where water can pool around the battery.
A Bluetooth trolling motor battery monitor in your pocket.
Built-in Bluetooth connects to the free Epoch Li-Ion app for iOS and Android, so you can check state of charge, voltage, current, temperature, cycle data, and battery status from your smartphone. The app’s state of charge is a calculated estimate; the included 10-segment battery meter shows the remaining charge in 10% steps and sounds an alarm at 10%.

The IP67-rated enclosure is dust-tight and protected against temporary immersion up to 1 meter for 30 minutes, which suits trolling motor compartments, fishing boats, and other wet marine locations. It is not rated for water jets, pressure washing, or long-term submersion. For best results, keep terminals clean and protected, secure the battery properly, and do not mount it where water can pool around the case.
More usable energy. Less maintenance. More confidence on the water.
LiFePO4 technology provides stable voltage output, fast charging capability, long service life, and maintenance-free operation. Compared with traditional lead-acid trolling motor banks, this lightweight 36V battery simplifies installation while delivering efficient usable energy, smart monitoring, and rugged marine protection.
Verify your boat, charger, and trolling motor before installation.
Always confirm compartment dimensions, cable clearance, M8 terminal compatibility, charger compatibility, fuse sizing, trolling motor current requirements, and manufacturer guidance before installation. Install the main fuse or DC-rated breaker as close as practical to the battery positive terminal, and secure the battery upright with a tray, strap, or bracket rated for its 75 lb weight. Use a lithium-compatible 36V charger or programmable charging system set to Epoch’s recommended parameters. For parallel banks of up to four, use matched B36100A-A batteries of similar age, condition, and firmware, each fully charged and at the same state of charge before connecting.
Frequently asked questions
Common questions about trolling motor runtime, boat fitment, charging, waterproofing, Bluetooth monitoring, and parallel battery banks.
It depends on how much power your motor draws. For planning, Epoch uses 80% of nominal energy: about 3,072Wh (80Ah) per battery. That works out to roughly 8 hours at a 10A load, 12.3 hours at 250W, or 6.1 hours at 500W (runtime ≈ usable Wh ÷ load W, or usable Ah ÷ load A). Real runtime varies with thrust setting, boat weight, wind, current, temperature, battery age, and duty cycle. For longer runtime, up to four matched batteries can run in parallel.
No. This is a 36V lithium battery, so it must be charged with a 36V LiFePO4 charger or a programmable charger set to Epoch’s LiFePO4 settings. A 12V charger, or a lead-acid, AGM, or gel charger, cannot charge this battery correctly. Epoch’s 36V 15A LiFePO4 charger (CHG-36V15A) is the recommended charger; it charges a fully discharged battery in roughly 6.7–7 hours, plus taper and balancing time.
One battery replaces a three-battery 12V lead-acid bank, but you should measure your compartment before ordering. The case measures 20 in L × 10.25 in W × 11 in H (508 × 260.4 × 279.4 mm) and weighs about 75 lb (34.0 kg). It is not a drop-in replacement for every lead-acid or AGM installation: confirm tray space, hold-down straps, terminal clearance, cable size and routing, overcurrent protection, and charger compatibility before installation.
Yes, in parallel. Up to four matched B36100A-A batteries can be wired in parallel: two make a 36V 200Ah (7.68kWh) bank and four a 400Ah (15.36kWh) bank. Use batteries of similar age, condition, and firmware, charge each one fully before connecting, keep the cables equal in length and gauge, and fuse each battery branch. Do not wire this model in series.
Yes, in compatible 36V systems one 38.4V battery can replace a traditional bank of three 12V lead-acid trolling motor batteries. It simplifies wiring, frees up compartment space, and significantly reduces boat weight. It is not a drop-in replacement for every installation, so always confirm your trolling motor voltage, charger profile, cable size, fuse protection, and manufacturer requirements before replacing an existing bank.
This battery is designed for compatible 36V trolling motor systems, including many setups using Minn Kota, Garmin, Lowrance, and other major marine trolling motor brands. Confirm that your motor is a 36V model and that its current draw, wiring, fuse protection, and manufacturer battery requirements match before installation.
Yes. This model has an IP67 waterproof enclosure: dust-tight and protected against temporary immersion up to 1 meter for 30 minutes. It is not rated for water jets, pressure washing, or long-term submersion, so install it in a secure battery compartment where water cannot pool around the case.
Yes. Built-in Bluetooth connects to the free Epoch Li-Ion app so you can view state of charge, voltage, current, temperature, cycle data, and battery status on an iOS or Android device. The app’s state of charge is a calculated estimate, so check voltage, current, and any alarms along with it. The included 10-segment battery meter also shows the remaining charge in 10% steps.
In cold weather, the internal heater warms the cells before charging begins. The BMS checks cell temperature and allows charging only within the cells’ 0°C to 55°C (32°F to 131°F) range, so the battery is rated to charge from -20°C to 55°C (-4°F to 131°F) with heating. While the cells warm, the app may show little or no charge current. This can be normal: leave the charger connected and switched on, and allow more time in colder conditions.
No. This is a 36V deep cycle marine battery for trolling motor and compatible 36V power applications. It is not designed for engine cranking, outboard starting, or golf carts. Use a dedicated cranking-rated battery for engine starting applications.
