Offset Hinges

I am rebuilding our Community Band’s acoustic sound reflector shells. One of them had a badly damaged double offset hinge that connects the upper two sections. TB Nation had an exact duplicate hinge that worked perfectly and was delivered very quickly. Five star performance.

The hinges have worked out perfect. They will make a nice addition to my build. Ordered 60” and cut to size with miter saw. Cheaper per ft when done this way.

They work great for my needs. I ordered the wrong size originally (I did not account for the thickness of the Eva decking) and the return process was easy. They exchanged the hinges no questions asked and got the new ones to me quickly. All in all, great experience with this company so far. Yes as some comments mentioned there’s aluminum shavings in the packaging some but I didn’t care. Didn’t affect the hinges. I had to cut them to the length I needed anyways so a few shavings in the box did not bother me. To the people that it may matter to, open the box outside and dust them off with a hand broom or blast them with an air compressor.

These 1” offset aluminum hinges arrived as scheduled and cut to the desired 12” lengths. Packaging was perfect for keeping them protected during the trip. They will be great for replacing the failing hinges on my mid-80s runabout.
My only complaint is that the chips from the cutting process were not brushed/blown off after cutting. They left a little mess when opened in the house. Otherwise, perfect!

Got 4 stars for the excessive aluminum shavings left on the hinges from cutting to length.
Also the hinge pin needs to be captured some way.
I just prick punched in 2 places seeing how its only aluminum.

Besides those 2 little simple things, beautiful hinges.

Bought 3/4" and 1" so I could have them in my hand and size up to my material. Going to have a hidden hatch on the middle seat of the 14ft Starcraft Seafarer 😉

I have not yet used the hinges but they are very well made and a great product.

I found the 1” offset hinge to work perfectly for my truck cap project. One of the only resources I was able to find that could provide this product and quickly answered questions to make sure it was what I needed as I obviously was not using it for the intended purpose.

Worked great for my needs, which were not boat-related. I used the hinge to make a homemade sheet metal brake. The double offset configuration greatly simplified making that tool.
