EPropulsion Spirit 1.0 Plus Chargers

Is it more expensive than its gas counterpart? Yes.. is it that much better? also yes. I was a bit skeptical going in, but after running the epropulsion vs. my 3.5hp Mercury, it was a night and day difference. The best part was that when I got home, I didn't have to worry about draining the carb or filling a bucket of water to clean the cooling system. I did a rapid rinse off (30 seconds) and went about my day. I had some initial range anxiety, but I do not anymore. Two hours of constant running at 1/4-1/2 throttle and still had approx. 70% battery left. Boat was an alumacraft 1542, a fairly large boat for this outboard.

Charges my Spirit 1 Plus battery in under 4 hrs.

The Spirit 1.0 plus battery charger is hard to find right now. TBN listed it as in stock and gave me a number to call for more information. Great motor for simply cutting thru to pick up things or get to dinner. So easy to handle and install on dingy. Taking it off and on to stow each day (if needed) is a breeze. Provide solid steering and ample power.

Easiest charger I have ever used

Used my 100ah lipo boat battery to charge my Spirit 1.0 Plus battery. 14 hours on charger gave me 66% charge on the Spirit 1.0 Plus battery. Lipo went from 14.3v to 13.3. Still had plenty of charge left and now had a decent amount of charge to continue my journey.

Havent opened the box yet

Quality is good. Getting parts is a little painful. I need the screw pins that mount the motor to the transom. Wish they had retailers in Hawaii because I want to buy the pod and the whole system of batteries. Can’t mail lithium. Hopefully the safer sodium batteries will be offered soon. Anyway… The outboard motor on our dingy is so quiet it seems like we aren’t even moving. Then all of a sudden we appear at our destination.

The boat is a Highfield 280AL RU model. Performed well in the last two excursions - first in 15 knot winds and the other in a calm Elizabeth River. Lightweight and best of all, no noise and no smell of smoke from the engine. Charging took a little while. I have not the chance to charge via DC. Time will tell if it is durable.

No gas, lightweight, and simple to use. Plus, the battery floats! Haven't tested that, but this EPropusion Spirit 1.0 is pure genius. The Tiny Boat Nation deal was amazing too.

Used our new EPropulsion Spirit with a Takacat 300 LX. Perfect pairing. Easy to set up and use. Quick and responsive as a dinghy motor. Cannot comment on longevity. But ease of use and performance out of the box is stellar.
