Stop Planning. Start Fishing...Fast Install Deck In a Box

You've seen the builds. You've watched the YouTube videos. You've even sketched it out on a napkin. But between the measuring, the cutting, the math, and the 30-hour time commitment β€” that casting deck is still just an idea.

The Deck in a Box changes all of that.

This is Tiny Boat Nation's all-in-one aluminum boat decking kit built specifically for 14–18' jon boats like the Tracker Grizzly and bass boats like the Bass Tracker Classic. No welding. No advanced fabrication. No weekend-ruining geometry. Just a purpose-built DIY bass boat deck that drops in, trims to fit your hull, and gets you back on the water β€” in about two hours flat.

Key Benefits

  • 30 hours β†’ 2 hours. What used to be a full custom boatbuilding project is now a Saturday morning install. Spend your weekend fishing, not fabricating.
  • Trim-to-fit design. Every hull is a little different β€” we get it. The Deck in a Box is designed to be trimmed to your specific boat without complex cuts or custom math. If you can run a tape measure and a rivet gun, you've got the skills.
  • Built for real use. Aluminum framing and sheeting that's tough enough to stand on, cast from, and abuse β€” season after season.
  • No specialized tools required. This is a true DIY jon boat deck extension kit β€” no welder, no plasma cutter, no fabrication shop needed.
  • Designed for the most popular platforms. Purpose-fit for the Tracker Grizzly deck mod crowd and Bass Tracker Classic deck insert builds.
  • Includes Nate's Dry Hatch. Built-in dry storage access, because a casting deck should work as hard as you do.

What's in the Box

  • Aluminum Framing – Pre-cut structural frame components that form the backbone of your new casting deck
  • Aluminum Sheeting – Durable deck surface material, ready to trim and rivet into place
  • Nate's Dry Hatch – Integrated dry storage hatch for keeping your gear protected and accessible
  • Hardware Included – Rivets, Washers, Nuts, Bolts, and a Locking Waterproof latch to finish it offΒ

Important Installation Note

A subfloor must already be installed in your boat before the Deck in a Box can be fitted. This kit is designed to drop in on top of an existing subfloor structure. If your boat does not yet have a subfloor, you'll need to complete that step first. Check out our subfloor build guides β€” we've got you covered.

Installation: It Really Is This Simple

Step 1 β€” Unbox
Pull everything out, lay it out on the garage floor, and do a quick inventory. Framing, sheeting, Nate's Dry Hatch β€” it's all there.

Step 2 β€” Trim to Fit
Every hull has its quirks. Use your tape measure to mark your trim lines and cut the aluminum sheeting and framing to match your specific boat. No advanced math, no templates β€” just measure, mark, and cut.

Step 3 β€” Rivet & Fish
Drop the frame into place on your subfloor, rivet it down, and you're done. Load up your gear, back the trailer down the ramp, and go catch something.
