Job Summary:

The ECommerce Operations Manager will oversee all aspects of our Shopify-based online store and ensure smooth daily operations. The ideal candidate will bring proven experience in ecommerce operations, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and align with our core values of honesty, accountability, and a passion for boating and fishing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • ECommerce Platform Management (Shopify):
    • Oversee the day-to-day operations of our Shopify store, including product listings, pricing, promotions, and order management.
    • Optimize website performance, ensuring a seamless user experience and minimizing cart abandonment.
    • Manage inventory, ensuring accurate stock levels and timely restocking.
    • Coordinate with vendors for product updates and inventory management.
  • Customer Service & Experience:
    • Ensure excellent customer service by developing systems for order fulfillment, returns, and support.
    • Collaborate with the customer service team to resolve ecommerce issues and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Logistics & Fulfillment:
    • Coordinate with warehousing and logistics teams to ensure timely fulfillment of orders.
    • Monitor shipping processes to optimize costs and efficiency.
  • Marketing Support:
    • Work with the marketing team to implement promotions, discounts, and special offers on the ecommerce platform.
    • Monitor and report on key performance metrics like conversion rates, traffic, and sales trends.
  • Technical & Process Optimization:
    • Identify areas for process improvements and automation, reducing bottlenecks in the ecommerce workflow.
    • Ensure website updates, plugin installations, and third-party integrations function smoothly.
  • Reporting & Analysis:
    • Analyze sales data, customer behavior, and ecommerce metrics to drive data-based decisions.
    • Provide regular performance reports and suggest areas for growth or improvement.
  • Vendor & Partner Management:
    • Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to ensure product availability and timely restocking.
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with third-party vendors (Shopify apps, payment processors, etc.).

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in managing ecommerce operations, ideally within a Shopify-based environment.
  • Strong understanding of ecommerce logistics, fulfillment, and customer service.
  • Experience working with inventory management and order fulfillment processes.
  • Ability to analyze data and use insights to improve operational performance.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
