Tiller Extension Handles X-LONG Aluminum

Very glad i purchased this and not the carbon marine tiller extension very nice upgrade looks good with the mercury black

I bought this handle to replace a junky plastic Bass Pro extension handle. The TBN handle is solid aluminum and has a cord wrapped hand grip. This is what a tiller extension is supposed to be. Best tiller extension on the market. Made in USA and the aluminum is much more rigid than the cheap plastic extenders. Would highly recommend

I love the handle extention. When I received it, was disappointed as it woud only slide onto the tiller throttle about half way. I said to myself..."Self, you can figure this out and make it work". I took a piece of hard lumber about 5/8" wide and using it as a shim/wedge, I drove it down between the the tightening flanges and "sprung" the pipe open. I drove it further down on one end than the other which caused the pipe to spring open more on one end than the other which made it it the handle taper just right. When I pulled the wood shim, out it sprung back onto the handle and fits it like a glove. I installed the two screws although at this point the fit was so good.....like a skin on a banana...that I didnt feel I needed them. It was a bit of a process but I hope this info is helpful to someone in the future that wants an extention on a bigger horsepower motor. Thanks again....have a blessed day

I bought the extension with no hole and cut a hole for the for the power trim switch on my 2024 Tohatsu MFS40A. The fit is very good and works well!

Just got mine today. It's nice. Fit and finish is up to par and is nicely tig welded. The paracord (or whatever they are using) handle is also nice. It is a snug fit on my 03' 8 hp Merc's grip, but nothing some soapy water and some persuasion can't help to massage it into place. Going to give it a shot in my 14 foot with a pedestal seat offset on the rear bench, but I might end up cutting it shorter with a sleeve in the middle and welding it once I have the money for a tig welder. But we will see after some use. It is a perfect length to stand and steer the outboard very comfortably forward of the rear bench for me at 5'1" and my friend at 6'5". All in all it is a nice product and with aluminum and fab costs where they are, I think the price is fair for what I received. This was my first product from tiny boats and I am happy with it. It will be a welcome upgrade to this little boat I am building.
