I tested the new aluminum prop on my 20’ pontoon boat today. I was very pleased with the results. It gained efficiency across the entire speed range with significantly more at the middle to top power settings. It also pushed a heavy 1985 20’ StarCraft up to 9.0mph at full power. That is a 1.5 mph improvement over the low pitch plastic prop. However the best part is that it is about 1/2 to 1mph faster at 1000 -3000 watt power setting where I cruse most of the time. This is a big jump in efficiency. I can go significantly farther and faster at the same power level. I suspect it does not flex as much as the plastic prop which typically improves efficiency.

If you are going to put this navy 6.0 on a 18 foot or larger pontoon boat, get the aluminum prop upgrade. You will be much happier with it!!!!
